Digital Rewards Delivered + Shipping Has Begun!

Hello Carmillians!

This morning I hit distribute on all digital rewards, which means that if you have filled out your survey and paid for additional add-ons through PayPal you should have a received a notification that digital rewards are ready for download. 

The email looks something like this:

"Hooray! New digital content is available for A VERY CARMILLA CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Click Here to log in and claim it!"

If you didn't receive this email, please let us know ASAP and we'll figure out how things went horribly wrong. 

It might be hiding in your spam folder, or maybe you...

Printing Update

I'm happy to report that books arrived this week and they look fantastic! 

In fact, as I said in the subject line:

Shipping has already begun! 

Please be patient as we get these shipped out--there are a lot of you--but we promise to do it as quickly as possible. 

And I'm happy to say that despite unforeseen production delays and Stripe nonsense, we are not that far off the schedule we posted on the campaign.

Or, if you prefer, Christmas in July came early.

Hi all - 

It's come to our attention that Backerkit is still giving you the option of entering a credit card through Stripe, so we want to be super clear:

We cannot currently charge credit cards through Stripe, so please don't enter your info there! 

If you are adding items in Backerkit you will need to select the PayPal option directly below the credit card box.

If you have already filled out your survey and added items, but did NOT pay with PayPal, we will need you to go back into the surveys and select PayPal for check out. 

 Again, we're sorry for the hassle this has caused.

 Hope everyone stateside had a happy Memorial Day. Otherwise--Happy Monday! 

Surveys just went out through Backerkit, so please look for an email from them, possibly in your spam folder. 

If you can't find your survey, you can recover it here:

As a reminder:

• If you purchased everything you want through Kickstarter, simply fill out your survey and you are done.
• If you'd like to add on items in Backerkit, you will have the option to pay through PayPal on the survey.
• Alternatively, if PayPal is not an option for you, you may contact us to arrange another method.

If you were a smoke test backer who purchased add-ons, look for an email from Backerkit tomorrow (Tuesday) with a link to enter new payment information.

Apologies again for the inconvenience caused by the ongoing Stripe nonsense. 

Books are slated to arrive this week, and I'll be back to post pictures when we receive them. Our goal is to lock orders ASAP and get these shipped out to you right away.

Important Survey Update!

Hi All - 

This week has been a whirlwind of communication with Backerkit, Kickstarter, and Stripe's totally human customer service, which apparently only knows about three phrases. 

Dave and I will have more to say on our experience soon, but the important info for you is this:

Backerkit IS allowing us to collect payments through an alternative source, so expect surveys on Monday. 

What this means for you:

• If you purchased everything you want through Kickstarter, simply fill out your survey and you are done.
• If you'd like to add on items in Backerkit, you will have the option to pay through PayPal on the survey.
• Alternatively, if PayPal is not an option for you, you may contact us to arrange another method.

Backerkit, to their credit, is going to bat for us with Stripe. But the process is taking a long time, books are slated to arrive next week, and we don't want to keep you waiting any longer while this process plays out. 

We also have meetings with Kickstarter and other crowdfunding platforms set up next week to discuss how we can all move forward on future campaigns with confidence.
